Rick is a seasoned procurement strategist with extensive experience in Prestige Beauty. He has
delivered results across all value creation levers and led numerous teams across small to large
companies.
Throughout his career, Rick has held many leadership roles at Estee Lauder over 25 years. Most
recently as the Chief of Staff to the Estee Lauder Companies Senior Vice President of
Procurement, he led the development and execution of the Global Procurement Strategy. In
previous roles, he created and led the North American Supply Management Organization and
helped create and staff the newly created Value Realization Engineering Organization.
During his career, Rick developed numerous category strategies for packaging and third-party
manufacturing. He created 2 nd tier supplier partnerships driving long-term value through improved
costs, agility, and innovation. As the Center of Excellence lead for Estee Lauder's value chain cost
savings program, he delivered an 8-fold increase in direct material and labor savings. Rick partnered
with brand and regional leadership to lead cross-functional teams in driving savings and margin
improvement by leveraging consumer sentiment, competitor benchmarking, and design-to-value
techniques.
Before his time at Estee Lauder, Rick started his career at Tsumura International managing
procurement activities in the home and skincare categories. He then went on to lead the
procurement team for CCA Industries, a manufacturer of mass cosmetics.
